Grand Theft Auto V is without a doubt one of the biggest and most anticipated game releases for the PC and it is currently set for a January 27 release date. New rumours have cropped up based on information from the Steam Store listing, that this launch date might be delayed.
The game changed the release date from the previous mentioned January 27 to Early 2015. One can argue that it’s still a match, but it seems odd. Usually, a release date is changed the other way around when the actual release date is getting close. It could also just be Steam that wants to safeguard themselves against a possible sh!tstorm from their users in case a delay should happen.
After the story broke yesterday, a Rockstar employee replied to a concerned fan on the official forums that there wasn’t any changes announced on the release date. That statement however still doesn’t deny the rumour, just that it hasn’t been officially announced yet, if true.
“GTAV will be coming to PC on January 27th. We have not announced any changes to this date at this time.”
