New Sony Cyber-shot Cameras produce DSLR like pictures

Two new Cyber-shot cameras from Sony make it easy to capture the moment with DSLR-style still photos, Full HD video and amazing 3D images.
The Cyber-shot TX55 and WX30 both feature a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor and new ‘By Pixel Super Resolution’ technology that boosts zoom range to 10x without quality loss when using 16.2 million pixel resolution. They also both have Picture Effect mode, that helps to broaden the artistic possibilities with no editing software required.
Cyber-shot TX55
The Cyber-shot TX55 is just 12.2mm slim, and is the world’s thinnest camera that can capture Full HD as aswell as 16.2 mega-pixel still images. The camera is also capable of 42.9 megapixel resolution when using it in panorama mood, as well as having a 3D Sweep Panorama and 3D Still Image to enjoy on your brand new 3D TV. The camera features a 3.3″ Xtra Fine OLED wide touchscreen, which is perfect for showing off your photos and movie clips with incredible detail.
More importantly, the camera has both M2 and microSD slots, giving you the choice of two of the mainstream memory card brands.

A more typical looking camera, but it is still compact. The Cyber-shot WX30 also features Full HD video and 3D shooting, while packaing a 3″ Xtra Fine LCD wide touch screen.
These two cameras are a huge step forward in compact cameras, fitting features better than lots of DSLR’s into a very small camera.
The cameras will be available from September 2011.
