It looks like Microsoft is planning to release an update to their $149 USD Xbox Elite game controller. The original came out in 2015, but new photos have surfaced on Chinese website Baidu showing the possible new design. The poster claims that it has a USB-C port for charging, 3-level Hair Trigger Locks, Bluetooth support for Windows 10, and a 3-profile switch. In comparison, the original has hair trigger locks, four interchangeable paddles around the back, remappable buttons, and completely swappable components.
The inclusion of USB-C charging and Windows 10 support is great news for PC gamers. Considering how popular the Xbox Elite is for those who play on PC, it makes complete sense for Microsoft to cater to that market as well.
One of the photos also show what appears to be an adjustable tension analog controller. Considering Microsoft has a patent for this technology, it is hardly surprising that the new Elite would have this. The new controller will also apparently have longer key travel for the paddles. The original poster even uploaded a photo of the device connected to their smartphone.
