Amazon’s New World MMORPG has been one of gaming’s biggest and most expensive blunders in recent years, which is quite a shame. The game had such high potential, being backed by one of the richest companies in the world.
Now, yet again, after further missteps, New World’s Steam reviews, which were already shaky, have plummeted due to the perceived incompetence of Amazon Games Studio. This time, the issue comes from the revamp’s reveal and the updated Aeternum FAQ, where the updated version simply states, “New World: Aeternum is an action RPG.”
Although it may seem a minor change, the New World player base is already on edge, with little faith in the company. Such short and decisive statements have seemingly fueled uncertainty, further exacerbated by the lack of communication between the developers and players.
This also seems to be the final straw for many players who have been enduring a severe lack of content for a while now. Most reviews complain about the game’s wasted potential and who can blame them?
