If you’re on the lookout for a new GPU that won’t crush your wallet too heavily, you may want to take a risk on a refurbished or open box GPU, as over at Newegg in the US, refurbished or open box RX 7900 XT graphics cards can be grabbed for as low as $649.99.
Via VideoCardz, listings for the RX 7900 XT have been spotted on Newegg as refurbished cards for as low as $649.99, $100 less than the current MSRP of $749 proving a tempting proposition. There is of course some risk to come with a refurbished GPU or open box GPU, but with Newegg you can expect to see a functioning card that “was tested and repaired as required to meet the standards of the refurbisher, which may or may not be the original manufacturer.” and may still include the same warranty.
Whilst pricing on this generation of GPU’s isn’t great, 20GB of VRAM for this price is reasonably good value, and considering we are expecting to see the RX 7900 GRE officially launch in Europe and the US very soon at $549, the AMD high-end stack is about to get a bit bigger.
If you’re in the UK you can grab yourself a PowerColor RX 7900 XT HellHound for as low as £709.99 at Overclockers.co.uk, or even a B-Grade Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT Pulse for £689.99.
We pitted the RX 7900 XT against the 4070 Ti Super below to give you a rough idea of what you may expect from this card and it’s competition.
