It looks like fans of the Diablo series are about to get a pretty epic treat, as Diablo 3’s anniversary patch is going to add a remastered version of the original Diablo!
In celebration of the franchises 20th anniversary, Blizzard will launch ‘The Darkening of Tristram’ mode, which adds an updated version of the original Diablo, complete with 16 levels, monsters, 8-way running, the four original main bosses, and all that classic action that started a big page in the gaming history books.
Those who loved the original graphics won’t be let down either, as the update uses the Diablo 3 assets to a degree, but also deploys audio filters, music, and graphics filters to give the mode that retro aesthetic we all fell in love with 20-years ago.
