Apple is rumoured to be preparing the launch of yet another new iPad in just a few months, even though its not been overly long since the launch of the fourth generation iPad.
According to the report by a Japanese site Macotakara, the 5th gen iPad is said to release in March, 2013 and its design is said to closely resemble that of the current version, but expect this ‘newer’ version to be even thinner and lighter to what will be its predecessor.
The plan to launch the newer iPad has come around a lot faster compared to Apple’s usual release schedule, but could this be down to competition? Either this or the need to once again dominate the tablet space as quick as possible? Reports also claim that the second generation iPad mini would include a retina display with 2048 x 1536 resolution display just like the 3rd and 4th generation full sized iPads.
Macotakara’s information about production time frames and designs has proven to be accurate in the past, so there’s a good chance that this could happen, although iPad mini with retina is something one wouldn’t be surprised about.
