According to fresh reports the Google LG Nexus 5 smartphone is going to be arriving to market on October the 5th. Interestingly the smartphone is reported to bring out of the box Android 5.0 support and is based on the same design as LG’s upcoming Optimus G2 smartphone, pictured above. Google LG’s Nexus 4 was also based on the same hardware as the LG Optimus G so this wouldn’t exactly be a surprising move.
Previous rumours have suggested that the Google Nexus 5 will boast a 5.2 inch 1080p screen, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera and a 2700 mAh battery. It is expected the official announcement about the Google LG Nexus 5 could come as early as August 7th according to TechRadar. Other rumours suggest South Korea will see the new handset as early as August 20th, about 6 weeks before Europe and North America.
Expected pricing and availability is still unknown but we will be sure to bring you the latest updates on the Google LG Nexus 5 as we get them. The Nexus 5 will no doubt be an immensely popular phone given the popularity of Google’s Nexus 4.
