It appears that Nexus news is in the top of it all this week, and here’s another one that is more specific to the Indian sub-continent. Sources close to The Times Of India have revealed that the new Google Nexus 7 2013 tab will be launched in India early next month. Running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the new Nexus 7 features an impressive 7-inch Full HD display having a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera with 1080p recording, 1.2 MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wireless Charging, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage and a 3,950 mAh battery. According to the publication, Google is currently testing local apps on the tablet, which will come pre-installed with the tablet. The retail pricing is expected to fall between the range of Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 18,000 for the 16 GB WiFi variant.
In other news, online retailer Flipkart is selling the first-generation Nexus 7 16 GB for an irrestibly attractive price of just Rs. 8,999. For all those who have been looking for a quality budget Android tablet, look no further. The Nexus 7 will serve all your needs, and more. Better yet, it actually costs lesser than many Chinese and local Indian branded tablets.
