This is getting out of hand. There’s a confirmed price increase on most (if not all) Nikon Camera Bodies and Lenses starting Feb 2 2017 (thanks for the New Year’s present Nikon!). A few months ago, Nikon raised the prices a lot on plenty of their lenses, they laid off a lot of their workforce, and now they are announcing yet another price list change and naturally the prices are only changing for the worst.
Seriously people, what are you thinking?
NikonRumors posted a photo of a wholesale price list change paper on their website yesterday. They are fairly credible, so if you are looking into buying a Nikon DSLR or a lens, make sure you get them before February 2017, otherwise you’ll have to spend more money.
Here’s the photo NikonRumors posted:
Confirming our previous news post regarding Sigma’s incoming price increases, we mentioned that Pentax was planning to raise their prices as well, and they did; the Pentax K-1 Full Frame DSLR received a staggering $150 increase!
Let’s hope this ridiculous price increasing trend fades away soon, we already have seen plenty increases in the IT field (HDDs, SSDs, RAMs) and now it’s spreading in the photography equipment sector as well…
