When it comes to looking modern, there are sometimes when you have to bring back some old styles and with Nintendo teaming up with Vans to create a selection of retro trainers modelled on your favourite characters you may find your feet being the most stylish part of your outfits.
While not much is known about the collection of trainers the items were removed from the European store, you can still find some of the trainers on a cached copy of the website here. The trainers may have gone live early, meaning that you could see the shoes may have been revealed a little earlier than expected. The cached copy of the website reveals that each pair would sell for around €65 (around £50). If Mario isn’t your style then maybe a retro white with red blocks might catch your eye or how about Nintendo entertainment system (NES) controller pattern?
With patterns from classic games like Zelda and Duck hunt capturing the classics of Nintendo gaming history, maybe we could see the trainers release alongside the announcement and reveal of their NX console. With these being just a taste of the collection, it may cost a little if you can’t decide on your favourite pair of retro trainers before they release in June.
