Nintendo Halts Repairs for New 3DS in Japan Due to Parts Shortage

Nintendo has announced the end of repair services for the New Nintendo 3DS in Japan, citing a lack of replacement parts. The company shared the news on its official Twitter account, stating, “We have run out of parts necessary for repairs, so we are no longer accepting repairs for the New Nintendo 3DS system.”

Nintendo’s Repair Policy Update

This decision follows a previous announcement made by Nintendo earlier this year. The company indicated that repairs for the Nintendo 2DS, Nintendo 2DS XL, and New Nintendo 3DS would end once existing stocks of repair parts were exhausted. This situation has now occurred for the New Nintendo 3DS, meaning Nintendo can no longer maintain or fix these devices.

Support for the Nintendo 3DS XL and the original Nintendo 3DS had already ended, leaving only the Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 2DS XL with remaining repair support. However, these services are expected to end soon as well.
