EA, Nintendo, Microsoft, Game and Overclockers are among the first gaming companies to be confirmed for the very first Gadget Show Christmas. The sister show to the UK’s biggest and best consumer tech event, Gadget Show Live, Gadget Show Christmas takes place at ExCeL in London on Friday 30 November – Sunday 2 December 2013.
EA is one of the world’s leading video games publishers and the name behind the FIFA brand; FIFA 13 is currently number one in the charts having sold more than 4.5 million copies in its first five days and claiming the title of fastest-selling sports sim ever.
Legendary Japanese games company Nintendo will be showcasing its brand new and hotly-anticipated Wii U console on launch day, making Gadget Show Christmas one of the first places in the UK where gamers can buy and play both the console and some of the 23 Wii U launch titles, which include New Super Mario Bros 2, Assassins Creed III, FIFA Soccer 13 and Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition.
In addition to Microsoft exhibiting with Windows, the software giant is also taking a stand in the Game Zone with its Xbox gaming console giving visitors a rare opportunity to get their hands on the top Christmas releases for the Xbox 360 console.
Gamers will also enjoy some very special deals on video games, consoles, accessories and pre-order games from Game – the UK’s leading games retailer – who will be found in the Game Zone alongside Overclockers, the leading retailer of high-end computer components, overclocked PC systems, modding accessories and consumer electronics in the UK .
The Game Zone will also host the adrenaline-packed Gaming Stage, where visitors can try out the very latest console and PC games, as well as compete in mass gaming sessions. With challenges for hardcore gamers and novice players, the Gaming Stage has something for everyone.
“With more than 150 tech companies showcasing thousands of the best gadget gifts, games and toys in the UK, Gadget Show Christmas is three days of tech heaven for all the family,” said event director Matt Hodgins. “It’s a unique opportunity to get hands-on with the best tech around while also stocking up on all the gadgets which are setting Christmas lists alight.”
