Nintendo NX to be Unveiled Next Week According to Investment Banking Firm

It seems not a single day goes by without another leak or insider source claiming to have essential information on Nintendo’s upcoming console, the NX. Given the NX’s predicted March 2017 release date, the lack of information from Nintendo is causing some people to become a little apprehensive. Apparently, this is the shortest period in recent history between a console’s launch and reveal date. The latest information comes from the investment banking company, Macquerie which was originally reported by Seeking Alpha. The firm claims that Nintendo will reveal the NX sometime next week and expects the asking price to be $300-$350 depending on the specific version. Here will see can the details of the leak:
Nintendo NX Marketing
“Interact with your game on the go.” phrase seen on a poster.
Strong co-branding effort with a Mario launch title on many posters.
Console is currently set to launch with least 4 titles on deck.
Stores should be receiving demo units around February.
Base price point seems to be sitting at $299.99
Nintendo NX Bundle
The NX is currently set to have a bundle option.
The contents of this bundle is currently unknown.
Bundle price is currently sitting at $399.99
As always with NX rumours, it’s important to take any information with a pinch of salt. The $300-$350 price tag is an interesting move and it could be accepted given the handheld/home console hybrid. Saying that, if the unit lacks horsepower, it may deter some people from investing early on. Personally, I think the reveal next week could be legitimate because time is ticking on and Nintendo needs to quash the rumour mill and show the NX sooner rather than later.
