Nintendo Switch 2 Could Be As Powerful As Xbox One and PS4

We may now have an idea for the kind of performance that the next generation Nintendo Switch 2 could have thanks to some emails sent to Activision Executives that point towards PS4 and Xbox One level performance.
Nintendo Switch 2 Performance
As reported by The Verge, Activision executives have already discussed the next-generation Nintendo Switch console with Nintendo and prior to their meeting, a document was shared providing a summary of the Switch titled NG Switch Draft.pdf the NG referring to Next Generation. This document has been heavily redacted however there is a mention of the expected performance:
“Given the closer alignment to Gen8 platforms in terms of performance and our previous offerings on PS4 / Xbox One, it is reasonable to assume we could make something compelling for the NG Switch as well. It would be helpful to secure early access to development hardware prototypes and prove that out nice and early.”
These performance claims are definitely good news for the console as it will most definitely provide more breathing room for Switch developers however with Activision in the mix it does also provide some room for Call of Duty titles. Back in February Microsoft signed a 10-year legal agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo following the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard. Additionally in a meeting with the FTC Bobby Kotick confirmed in response to questions on Call of Duty on Nintendo, that “we don’t have any present plans to do so.” but it is something that they can do once they get detailed specifications.
With various Call of Duty titles existing on the Xbox One including the latest Modern Warfare II and the upcoming Modern Warfare III, the Switch 2 will likely be able to handle these titles with a few graphical tweaks and even older titles if Activision feels like it.
All seems like reasonably good news for Switch fans.
