New information has come forward surrounding Nintendo’s Switch Successor and has pushed back the original speculated late 2024 release back to Q1 2025 based on claims from several sources.
A Brazilian games journalist, Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, has made the claim in a Ox do Controle video that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be pushed back to Q1 2025 and bases this information from five seperate sources. Furthermore sources from both videogameschronicle.com and Eurogamer have echoed the same information. The sources claim that third-party game developers were “recently briefed on an internal delay” for the launch of the Switch 2 pushing it back to early next year to ensure that the game’s launch comes alongside as many titles as possible.
The console is said to have a sizable performance jump over its predecessor with claims of an 8″ LCD display, DLSS technology, and performance similar to that of the PS4 and Xbox One through the use of NVIDIA’s Tegra T239.
