Earthbound undoubtedly represents one of the most iconic RPG titles ever created. A bit like when it comes to the reading of many of the classic novels, however, I daresay that while many people claim to have played it, very few actually have. – As someone who has completed Earthbound though, what I will say is that for as amazing as the game undoubtedly is (even today!), it can be more than a little complicated, and at times, exceptionally bizarre. As was the fashion at the time, therefore, there was a full-blown strategy guide released for it and when compared to everything else, was arguably one of the fanciest publications Nintendo ever put out.
If you never had the chance to peruse it, however, then I have some excellent news for you. For reasons that I can’t determine (but I’m certainly not going to complain) Nintendo has published the full Earthbound strategy guide on their official website which you can not only check out but download to view at your leisure!
The reason why Nintendo has decided to publish the Earthbound strategy guide on their official website is more than a little unclear. In fact, it’s equally uncertain as to exactly how long it has actually been available there. With it recently being discovered, however, for anyone with even a passing interest in the title or just a bit of video game nostalgia, this is an absolutely amazing thing to check out. – As for why it’s there though, my best guess is that with interest in Earthbound having only been growing over the last 10 years, Nintendo felt like throwing us a big old nostalgic bone.
If you do, therefore, want to check this strategy guide out in its full-colour 137 page glory, click on the link here!
