Nitro Concepts E200 Race Series Gaming Chair Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Nitro Concepts E200 is available in a range of colour options for £167.99 at Overclockers UK. While this may seem like a lot of money, it’s certainly affordable in the world of gaming chairs, which can often cost more than double this and way beyond. Yes, you are buying a cheaper chair here, which does mean it uses more plastic, PU leather, and lacks some adjustment features, but it’s still very competitive for an entry-level chair.

Overview

I loved the Nitro Concepts C80 gaming chair, and we do actually still use it in the office to this day. However, we love the E200 a whole lot more and for a sub £200 gaming chair, it’s one of the best we’ve seen in this price range. It’s a lot sleeker looking and the back rest and seat are more comfortable than the C80, although the C80 had thick padded armrests that we think are superior to the E200.

While lacking in features like a tiltable back rest, lumbar/headrest cushions, and height adjustable armrests, the measurements of the E200 feel perfectly balanced for day-to-day use. You can get all those features from a gaming chair, but expect to pay another £100 for the privilege. If you’re looking for a more affordable entry point into the world of gaming chairs, then the Nitro Concept E200 is easily the way to go.

Build quality is pretty good throughout, and that was most noticeable while building the chair. The wheels clipped in with ease, the durable armrests screwed on without any trouble, and even the heavy metal adjustment plate and back rest screwed in perfectly. We had a hard time with the C80, but the E200 was a breeze to build even on my own; something that should appeal to first-time gaming chair builders.

In terms of design, Nitro Concepts have really nailed it here too, the colourful trim on the black finish looks really nice and while it’s obviously a “gamer” chair, it wouldn’t look out of place in the office either, especially in the black+white finish we reviewed today. The comfort is on point too, with good lumbar support and long armrests, it has a good range of height adjustment. For a budget friendly chair, you couldn’t ask for much more.

Pros

  • Easy to build
  • Stylish design
  • Good back support
  • Generous padding on seat and back rest
  • Extra-long armrests with floating design
  • 5-point wheelbase
  • Height adjustable
  • Competitive price

Cons

  • Lacks angle adjustments on back rest
  • No adjustment for arms

“Stylish, affordable and comfortable, the E200 is a great option for those looking to take their first steps into the world of gaming chairs. While not offering a lot of features, it’s still a nice place to sit, and it’s sure to look fantastic in front of your desk at home or in the office.”

  1. Another “gaming” chair. the quality is really lacking, we need some more quality strong products in gaming furniture.
