There’s one thing we see more at Computex than anything else, high daily step counts, so finding a booth that’s nothing but ergonomically friendly chairs will always get our attention. Honestly, the “gaming chair” market has a bad reputation, largely from consumers soaking up cheap imported chairs and then complaining that all gaming chairs are cheap imported chairs. This year, Computex had none of those trash chairs, but plenty of actually innovative and comfortable designs.
Admittedly, the noblechair designs are pretty much a gold standard now, I myself have one of each of the layouts seen in this picture, Hero, Epic and Icon throughout my house. However, this is the first time I’ve seen their flagship AMG edition, and I love that it distances itself from the gaming market, and back towards the high-end automotive market that clearly inspired their designs.
Custom cushion design.
The AMD Petronas neck and headrest. There’s even a carbon effect on the wings.
One that I always loved is this stunning white edition, it’s not ideal if you have kids, or pets, or struggle to keep yourself clean enough to warrant a white chair, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t gorgeous.
Would have been rude not to try it though.
Another new one I’d never seen is this Shure audio edition, and while it’s not one I care for, I do like the rather unique backstitching on this one.
However, it’s these that really got my attention… or not, actually! I overlooked these, as I already own two of their footrests and have done for many many years. I have one under my desk RIGHT NOW and couldn’t imagine it not being there. So what’s new? Well, it’s much much stronger.
The old ones were footrests, sure, but it was advised you do not sit on them! My kids loved to sit on it when I first got it, but I was always worried it would collapse. I mean, it never did, but apparently, you can get over 100KG on these new ones and be absolutely fine, so I could use it as a piano/guitar-playing bench now also.
