Components

Everything you could possibly need to build the chair is included in the box. This even includes the screwdriver/Allen key needed to fix everything together. The nuts and bolts are there too, with an extra one of the big bolts included should you do something daft life thread the bolt. There are five wheels included, with durable Nylon coating so that they’re suitable for both hard floors and carpet. All the other bits and the gas lift, side panel covers, handles, etc.

These two super cosy pillows are included too, one for your back, and one for your neck. They’re super comfortable, and to be honest, I could do with these scaled up for my couch and my bed.

Every aspect of this new chair is robust, and rightly so given it’s bigger and has a significantly higher weight tolerance too. This is one very heavy duty component and features a rocker adjustment, gas-lift mount, height adjustment level, and an adjustable tilt lock too.

Adjustable Arm Rests

One of the arms is pre-fitted to the base, the other is in the box. This was obviously to help with packing ergonomics rather than just any lazy effort in their factory. It’s very nicely finished though, with the chrome shaft and some chrome trim on the underside of the armrest too.

It features three controls too. The level on the bottom is to adjust the height, while two buttons on the side adjust the top section horizontally as well as forwards/backwards. Basically, it can be moved on the X, Y and Z axis for maximum comfort.

Wider Seat

The heaviest part of the whole package is this humungous seat. It’s wider than their previous models, and I should know, I’m sat on their previous model. The flairs on the left and right sides are softened too. Before, they would stick up like a racing seat and lock you in place, but you can fit your ass from end to end now with ease.

Down the right side, you’ll find a handbrake-style level, allowing you to adjust the backrest angle. Of course, we’ll need to build the chair first. For the love of god, don’t pull it now, as that metal arm will fire forward and take your freaking hand off; it does warn you about this on the stickers.

The build quality is sublime here though, and I’m so happy with my choice of black with the white stitching. If there’s a chair out there with better detail work, I haven’t seen it.

Reinforced Design

On the base, you’ll find the chair is heavily reinforced, but also built for comfort. The base has a metal structure, but the seat is spring mounted and has a tension strap so it’s unlikely to ever suffer from droop. I would also rate this as a firm seat, so don’t expect that cheap foam over wood garbage you’ll find in budget gaming chairs.

Plastic is a no-go for this one, as the legs are built from a single piece of cast metal. It’s heavy, strong, and endlessly stylish.

Just like the seat, the backrest is much wider and taller. They’ve removed those holes at the headrest too, instead opting for a load of memory foam padding to give it added comfort for the head and shoulders. Of course, there’s a cushion you can attach too should you need it.

What is this dial on the side? Why that’s the step-less lumbar support of course! Give this a twist and it’ll push the bottom of the seat outward, providing a rather firm back support. Unwind it and the lower back section softens up. Personally, I’ll be leaving this cranked up to ultra firm.
