Gaming chairs are, by and large, a fairly intuitive thing when it comes to assembly. I mean, I’m pretty sure we all know, generally speaking, what parts are supposed to go where. – With that being said though, that doesn’t mean to say that a gaming chair can have a fool proof infallible design. Well, not if you put it together as the manufacturer intended at least. – Fortunately though, noblechairs has you well covered with a fantastically large and well detailed product manual. – Yes, as you can see below, it’s an A4 fully glossy booklet covering each of the individual steps as you go along!
The step-by-step guide offered here is excellent and while I didn’t personally follow it as gospel, if this is the first time you’re putting a gaming chair together, the fantastically large and detailed diagrams will hold your hand for each part of the build.
For those smaller or less muscular people among you though, you might want to try and get a friend here (which is recommended in the manual) as this is an exceptionally heavy gaming chair when assembled (circa 30-32KG).
One nice feature the noblechairs LEGEND has is the ability to somewhat customise the arm rests. – One does require attaching out of the box, but as you can see below, the screws are set on a slider meaning that you can adjust them to sit either closer or further away from the seat itself. – This will, of course, require a little trial and error and although not cited in the manual, I’d recommend loosening the screws ever so slightly once the chair is completely, sit down, try and gague what feels right, then get under the hood to tighten them in place exactly where you want them.
A huge point I simply have to credit the noblechairs LEGEND for is a safety feature, which, quite frankly, I’ve never seen utilised within a gaming chair before. – And, admittedly, one that even I had to consult the manual to figure out.
I am, of course, referring to the tilt control handle. – Now, you might be wondering why this has such a huge warning sticker on it. Well, this is because if you typically pull the handle on a gaming chair such as this before the back rest is fitted, then the bulky metal springloaded supporting bracket will come flying towards your hand at an alarming speed. And have no doubt about it, this will hurt a lot!
In most instances though, a warning is where this begins and ends. On the noblechairs LEGEND, however, the handle control mechanism actually contains a safety feature. Namely, a screw which, until removed, will not allow the tilt control handle to move. – As above, I wasn’t expecting this and initially thought I’d done something wrong when I went to pull the handle and nothing happened. A quick check of the manual, however, showed me where this safety screw was and, less than a minute later, I had it easily removed.
In terms of a well-needed safety feature all gaming chairs should have, however, noblechairs gets some huge props from me for actually finding an excellent and practical solution!
As noted above though, the assembly process for the noblechairs LEGEND is really straightforward, and, in truth, after around 4-5 different parts, you’re already pretty damn close to having the thing ready to go. – While you might suspect that there’s a lot of screwing and parts to attach, it genuinely isn’t too bad and, presuming you have some help, I see no reason at all while most wouldn’t have this out of the box and ready to roll within 20-30 minutes.
Aside from the one part in regards to the aforementioned safety tile handle feature, I found absolutely no difficulties or problems assembling my noblechairs LEGEND. – Yes, it is undoubtedly a big chair, and a heavy one too, and ideally, if you’re going to do this you’ll want as much free and clear space as you can muster.
When completed though, I think we can agree that this noblechairs LEGEND BLACK/RED/WHITE looks absolutely fantastic. And especially so with those supporting cushions fitted to act as the crowning jewel in this stunning gaming chair design.
