A Closer Look

The NF-A9X14 HS-PWM is a little bit different to the others. It’s still quite small, with a 92mm design, but only 14mm thick to suit slimmer applications. You’ll notice the corner mounts aren’t displayed in the front.

Due to the slimmer design, they’re actually adhesive rubber pads this time. The thicker inserts would only compromise the 14mm design. You still get the full range of colours, however, you get eight of each colour this time rather than four.

Despite the slimmer design, this thing is really robust though. There’s quite a lot of reinforcement down each side, ensuring there’s no unwanted flex or vibration even when spinning at the maximum 2500 RPM.

From the front, however, it looks just like any other Noctua fan, I don’t think you can even tell it’s a slim model.

The adhesive anti-vibration pads are pretty cool looking too. They recess into the mount a little bit, which helps keep the 14mm design as slim as possible.
