A Closer Look

One of the best fans in the Noctua range as their A-series. Again, this is another slim model, so it’s packaged a bit different.

Clocking in at 120mm x 15mm, it’s designed is best suited to low-profile CPU coolers and HTPC builds. It’s quite a different looking fan to many Noctua models, as it uses their improved SS02 bearing and generally operates with even tighter tolerances than other slim fans.

This model uses their Advanced Acoustic Optimisation Frame design, not that their other models are noisy to begin with, ha!

Again, the corner mounts are the stick-on pad type, so you can see the little recess there. What’s important is that they’re not the exact same as the ones we saw earlier.

Each fan has a specific size and thickness of the anti-vibration mount. It’s all tailored to fit for each size and thickness of fan. Plus, I’m sticking on different colours on each model so we can easily tell them apart at the end.
