Noctua is well known for their sandy brown colour schemes, and love it or hate it, they’ve stuck with that theme for many years. That trend is slowly starting to change, though, as they’re making black fans now, and they also offer colourful anti-vibration rubber mounts for the corners of your fans. Now they’re upping the colour and customization options with their add-on metal slip covers.
As you can see, the Chromax add-on slips over the cooler giving it a more enclosed design and giving you a black or white aesthetic, although given their design they would be super easy to spray paint any colour you like. I asked Noctua how much this affects temperatures and they promised that it was a fraction of a degree, so that’s certainly promising.
We hope these come to market soon and we’re eager to see the price. The best news is, these work with a few existing Noctua coolers, such as the NH-D15 and D15S, so you won’t have to buy a whole new cooler to get something a little more unique.
