Noctua creates impressive and high-quality cooling solutions and in an attempt to show off their cooling performance they have utilised their NH-U14S DX-4677 air cooler to cool the 700W Intel Xeon W9-3495X.
700W Xeon Air Cooled
Noctua uploaded a video showing off their NH-U14S DX-4677 air cooler taking on the 56 Core intel Xeon W9-3495X which in the test had drawn over 700W of power without thermal throttling which is an impressive example of the power of the cooler. The video did not show off the actual CPU temps nor any further settings and its high power drawer was likely pushed beyond its default settings. Noctua tested the chip on an ASUS Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard with SK Hynix DDR5 EC8 RDIMM memory.
The Noctua NH-U14S DX-4677
The Noctua NH-U14S DX-4677 is a beefy cooler with a large copper base, and 8 copper heat pipes and this specific model for Intel’s LGA4667 platform comes with two Noctua NF-A15 HS-PWM 140mm fans capable of speeds of 300-1500 RPM.
Being able to cool over 700W of power is very impressive and the heat coming off of that fan must be immense. You can learn more about the NH-U14S DX-4677 on the product page here.
