Noctua has announced their new NA-FG1 series of fan grills coming in sizes from 40mm upto 200mm. These premium-grade grills are designed to reduce turbulence and noise levels as well as improve airflow. Featuring mounting screws and a tool-free push-pin mounting mechanism for easy installation.
The NA-FG1’s use an offset design with rounded struts to limit the impact of the unpleasant high-pitched turbulence noise and reduced airflow from other flat fan grills or fan guards with sharp edges. The grills introduce an offset of 5mm, which In Noctua’s testing they discovered that this reduced the impact on airflow from 3% to 2% as well as halving the noise levels from 1.2dB to 0.6dB!
The Included push-pin tool-free mounting mechanism ensures that installing these grills is an easy task for even the most inexperienced user and Noctua has a handy video here demonstrating this installation.
