Noctua intros a Special Edition of the NH-D14 for LGA2011

With a massive amount of awards under its name as well as being used for benchmarks comparison by a multitude of review sites, the famous NH-D14 CPU cooler from Noctua will have, as announced today, a Special Edition made especially for the LGA2011 socket.

“Hardware enthusiasts have every right to be excited about Intel’s upcoming Sandy Bridge-E processors, but to get the most out of it, you’ll definitely need a high quality cooling solution”, says Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO. “Our flagship model NH-D14 has earned a reputation as one of the finest high-end quiet coolers on the market, so we thought that this should be a perfect match. The new special edition for LGA2011 will keep your Sandy Bridge-E CPU cool no matter what you throw at it, and it will do so at minimum noise levels, thus appealing to overclockers and quiet enthusiasts alike.”

With its six heatpipes and dual radiator design coupled with the powerful fans from the same manufacturer, the NH-D14 has what it takes to tame some of the wildest and hottest CPUs on the market today as is well known as such.

The new version named SE2011 will combine the power of the NH-D14 heatsink, the hold of the SecuFirm2 mounting system as well as a newer PWM version on Noctua’s successful NF-P12 and NF-P14 fans; the new NE-FD1 PWM IC integrating Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology to give the NH-D14 even less noise at lower speeds.

The same story as it’s standard counterpart continues, the NH-D14 comes along another one of Noctua’s famous product, the NT-H1 thermal compound, as well as 6 years manufacturer’s warranty.

Available soon at the retail price of €74.90/$84.90, the NH-D14 just got better.
