Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler Review

The are many CPU coolers on the market, and each have their own unique way of installing them onto your motherboard, but the principle is usually the same for the socket you are looking at installing to. We are using a socket 1155 board for our tests, and therefore had to follow the installation instructions for that particular platform. It all started with the relevant bracket and fixing adapters and after lining the bracket and mounting plates up, the including thumbscrews were used to connect the two aspects together through either side of the board.
You will then find that the cooler has two spring screws (one either side of the base) which involve offering up to the newly connected upper bracket and bolting down into place. This is achieved by using the included Allen key style screwdriver. The cooler quite cleverly has two square cut out sections for feeding the screwdriver through.
Once the screwdriver has been fed through, you can continue to tighten the screws in an equal fashion.
