Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler Review

So let’s go back to basics and start from the beginning. A computer system is nothing without sufficient cooling much like a car performs better when at an optimum temperature, whereas some develop faults with cold starts. Think of computers as the other way round, as hot temperatures can lead to catastrophic failure and a nice cool, chilled system will run flawlessly 99.99999% of the time. So we now know that systems like to remain cool, so what’s stopping you chucking a million fans at it and getting some fantastic results? NOISE, AND WE ALL HATE NOISE, i’ll stop shouting now. Noise is the bane of any system builders life and is a common topic of conversation on websites, much like this one. We even have a forum section dedicated to cooling and overclocking where likeminded users can discuss how to keep their systems cool and quiet and i’m not talking about the AMD downclock feature. With all this information in hand, wouldn’t it be great to have a cooling device that will not only keep your processor at a sufficient temperature, but also be practically inaudible? That’s where the Noctua NH-C14 is set to come into play. Now we haven’t taken a look at a Noctua product in quite some time, but when we do it’s always an exciting moment as their products have never ceased to amaze us. Noctua have managed to gain a very sucessful name in the cooling market and have always been a recommended brand when looking at CPU coolers and other various cooling products. That said, they are also very popular due to their unique designs and style including funky colour schemes. Will the NH-C14 live up to the rest of the product range or will it get a bit hot under the pressure?

Let’s take a look shall we?
