The acoustics were flawless. The Noctua NH-L12 is the first CPU cooler to really rival the Be Quiet! coolers at both idle and load.

I’m still gob-smacked that such a tiny CPU cooler kept a 4.5GHz i5 3570K well below 80 degrees. Then when you consider the fans barely broke into a sweat posting some of the quietest results we’ve seen – well its amazing.
