Noctua has revealed that it will offer two upgrade kits to make its coolers compatible with AMD’s AM4 socket, absolutely free. The Austrian/Taiwanese company will be giving customers its new SecuFirm2 mounting system gratis via its website, requiring only a proof of purchase for any eligible Noctua CPU cooler.
“Continuing Noctua’s tradition of supplying customers with its premium-class SecuFirm2™ mountings free of charge, the NM-AM4 kit allows Noctua users to upgrade their coolers to AMD’s AM4 socket,” the company says. “It is backwards compatible with most Noctua coolers since 2005* and has been designed to combine outstanding reliability, optimal contact pressure and easy, straightforward installation. Bringing the trusted SecuFirm2™ quality to AMD’s AM4 platform, the NM-AM4 is an enthusiast-grade mounting kit that meets the highest demands in safety, performance and ease of use.”
