When it comes to fans, Noctua have had it down for a long time, you want great performance with as little noise as possible, they’ll have you covered so long as you don’t mind the ugly brown and beige or are happy with the all-black designs, because if you want white, well you’re out of luck.
Unfortunately Noctua has all but con firmed that we won’t be getting a white variants of its fans any time soon, and we’ll be stuck with the beige and brown as well as the chromax.black colour options for the foreseeable future. This all comes from a reply to a Tweet from the official Noctua account. Via PCGamer, user admiremadlife made a Tweet towards Noctua asking about some white Noctua fans for their NZXT H9 Elite and when they would be available and unfortunately was met with disappointment.
Noctua replied stating that they had decided to “put all our focus on technical development projects like the next-gen 14cm fan, so the white fans have been put on hold and removed from our roadmap”. They don’t know whether the project will be revived in the future or not.
This is quite disappointing for Noctua fans and Noctua fans, but I wouldn’t rule it out entirely. Whilst the company can’t make any promises, white hardware has grown a lot in recent years meaning Noctua should see some value in this once they have completed their next generation of fans, of course so long as those fans are good and since they’ve been in development for 9 years they should be right? You may have to wait a few more years for white fans but I think they’ll come.
