It’s certainly been a long and heady fall for Nokia since their dominant days in the ’90s. Since Apple came along and pretty much took over the show though, the company has been struggling to come even close to the popularity they once had. That isn’t, however, to say that they have been lazy in the meantime. Their phones in recent years have actually been rather decent.
With a lot of speculation surrounding the Nokia 9 PureView though, it seems that the release may be coming very shortly!
In a report via Pocket-Lint, a Bluetooth certification has been spotted by eagle-eyed tech watchers indicating that Nokia might be set to announce the phone at any moment!
One of the key ‘talking points’ about the phone has been the 5 front facing cameras and what this might mean in terms of photographic capability. With the official Bluetooth SIG certification though, this usually indicates that a phone has been completed, is ready and is simply going through the ‘check’ phase prior to launch.
We do know that the Nokia 9 PureView range will likely include 3 separate variants. Exactly what the difference between them will be, however, is unclear.
Honestly, if past experience has taught us anything, the Bluetooth certification is usually a huge precursor to an imminent release. As such, we would fully expect this to be announced within the next few weeks. Probably, at the latest, just after New Year. Either way though, with such an interesting design, this definitely has our interest!
Can Nokia get back on top again? We doubt it. It is, however, all steps in the right direction!
