Nokia Launches The G22 Repairable Android Phone

Right to repair is a big debate in the tech world primarily for laptops and phones which typically aren’t easily repairable or upgradeable. Nokia has decided to make a move to change that by launching the Nokia G22, a phone designed to be repairable from home.

The G22 was launched yesterday before the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona with the design premise of being easily repairable. and gives owners the ability to replace a broken display, charging port or battery. It brings an array of longevity promises with a 100% recycled plastic back cover, up to 3 years of warranty and updates, and a 3-day battery life. And, the memory extension feature delivers additional virtual RAM,⁴ giving you a smoother smartphone experience.

Alongside this repairability, the Nokia offers the standard Android phone experience at a size of 6.52 inches with a 90Hz 720×1200 display with 8MP Front Camera and 50MP rear camera. The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack and as standard USB-C charging with a 5050MaH battery which features 20W fast charge and claims up to 3 days of battery life. For the internals, the phone features either 64 or 128GB of storage, 4GB ram and a Unisoc T606 8-core chip at 1.6GHz.
