Nokia Lumia 525 Specifications Leak Head Of Launch

MyNokiaBlog has managed to get access to the full specifications of the Nokia Lumia 525 ahead of its launch. The Nokia Lumia 525 will be the successor to the exceedingly popular Nokia Lumia 520, which along with the Lumia 620, led Nokia’s charge towards increasing their market share by capturing the budget end of the market. The Lumia 525 features a 4 inch IPS LCD touch screen display with a modest 480 x 800 resolution that still gives an impressive 233ppi. The screen is also said to feature 2D hardened glass and super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove usage.
Internally the Lumia 525 has 1GB of RAM, double that of the Lumia 520, and it is said to have a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. There is 8GB of internal memory and a microSD slot for up to a further 64GB. SkyDrive users will also get 7GB of free cloud storage. The battery is a 1430mAh Li-Ion design and the operating system will be the latest version of Windows Phone 8, GD3.
The Nokia Lumia 525 measures in at 119.9 x 64 x 9.9mm and weighs 124g (battery included). In terms of networks it is compatible with WCDMA 900/2100, 850/1900/2100, GSM/EDGE 850/900/18000/1900 and offers HSPA+ (21mbps) download speeds. Connectivity includes WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, microUSB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing is still to be announced but expect it to be similarly priced to the Lumia 520 that it succeeds.
