EVLeaks have reported that the launch of Nokia’s Lumia 1520 “phablet” has been pushed back to October 22nd from the current release date of September 26th. Neither Nokia or Microsoft have confirmed whether such a push-back is correct but enough people in the mobile industry and media seem to think this is the case. The planned media event in New York City on September 26th is apparently now delayed but no reasons have been given for the delay.
In terms of specifications we reported in an earlier article that:
“The Lumia 1520 is reported to have a 3400 mAh battery alongside the latest Windows Phone 8 GD3 operating system. The large 3400mAh battery is larger than that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which uses a 3200 mAh battery. The hardware should include a 1920 x 1080 full HD display – which is a 6 inch capacitive and internally a Snapdragon 800 SoC is at the core. A 20MP PureView camera provides all your photography and video needs while 32GB of memory is complimented by a microSD card slot for expansion.”
Fans of Nokia’s Lumia series will have to wait just that little bit longer to get their hands on the largest ever Windows smartphone.
