Noontec Zoro Headphones Review

Overall then, I was happy with the Noontec Zoro, once I had realised that they just weren’t designed for brutal death metal, the warm tones of classic rock and screaming guitars they really started to shine, the sound quality is pin sharp, no doubt about that, but this has come at the cost of power out put and personality to the sound. In my opinion, any set of headphones should really be a good all-rounder when it comes to what music they are used to listen to, giving an equal result across the board for what ever takes your fancy, especially if you have a wide taste in music like I do, I’m not about to go buy two sets of head phones, one for metal and one for pop music.
But alas this is me, there are many millions of people out there that are more than happy with just listening to the latest X-Factor / Pop Idol albums and for those people these headphone would be great, the sound reproduction is fantastic for vocal based music, a little extra test with them gave me steady results with classical music too, benefiting from the distortion free (if a little lacking) bass and powerful high frequencies.
The Zoro headphones do get a big plus points for style though, not that I know much on the subject of being stylish, but I have to admit they look fantastic in every aspect, a lot of care has gone into giving these a really high quality finish, not forgetting of course that this extra attention to build quality means that they feel great both when your wearing them or even just handling them, so a big plus point to the designers there.
For £45 these are very good headphones, not great, but perfectly acceptable sound quality for this price range, it just all depends on what your personal tastes are when it comes down to deciding if you should buy them or not, if you’re looking for a powerful, head rattling set of headphones to listen to thundering guitars and drums, then look elsewhere.
I don’t think the designers had heavy metal in mind, but if your taste is much more relaxed and things like pop, dance, electro and indie music are more your thing then you won’t have a problem, they are much better suited to chilling out with and aren’t likely to give you earache any time soon.
So if you want something stylish and fashionable and desire high quality build on your headphones, that isn’t likely to break or wear out any time soon, then these are definitely the headphones for you, you will get a lot of joy out of their clear sound quality and exceptional style.
