Pricing
The Noontec Zoro HD headphones are not cheap, a new set will set you back £129.99 (MSRP). Fortunately, a little Google-fu will no doubt find you a better deal. You can currently pick up a set from Amazon.co.uk for just £79.99 in their current sale and it has prime shipping enabled. Amazon.com is currently selling the headset for $84.48 (normally $149.99).
Overview
The Noontec Zoro II HD headphones are a little expensive, but you’ve got to consider the kind of market they’re aimed at. They’re obviously made to compete with similar priced headsets such as the Beats Solo HD, which not only look very similar, but are also more expensive and don’t sound as good as the Noontec Zoro HD.
The Noontec ethos may be creating stylish fashion friendly headphones, but they’ve also done a great job of delivering some solid all-round performance. Looks can be important, but you would have to be pretty crazy to spend this kind of money on a headset that looks good, but didn’t sound good; lucky for Noontec they’ve got the looks and the performance.
Build quality is on par with the best of the best. They’re tough, the finish is durable and scratch resistant, the ear padding is soft and forgiving and the rubber coated flat cable is really nice too. The original Zoro may not have impressed me much, but the Zoro II HD are better in every single way.
Pros
- Exceptional build quality
- Removable cable
- Foldable design
- Good quality microphone
- Crystal clear sound
Cons
- Quite expensive
- Noontec are still a fairly unknown brand, especially when compared to some of their rivals
“Noontec may still be relatively new to the market, but they’re quickly proving that they can keep up with market trends, while producing stylish and great performing products. I can’t wait to hear what they do next, perhaps the Zoro III?”
Thank you Noontec for providing us with this sample.
