In 1999 Time magazine started to make the annual list for 100 most influential people in the world. In order to be recognized you must fall into one of five categories:
Figures such range from Steve Jobs who has been on the list five times. To the Dalai Lama who has been on the list three times. To Oprah Winfrey who is in the lead with nine times being listed. Each year people from around the world are given the opportunity to vote for who they feel are the most influential people. Depending on your views you may feel that some are very influential, and some are not, Time lets you make the decision. Giving you the option to up-vote or to down-vote someone.
This year Markus “Notch” Persson has been selected as a candidate and you are able to vote for him, if you like on Time’s website. Notch is responsible for releasing Minecraft in 2009, which sold it’s 10 millionth copy earlier this week and became the 7th “All Time Best Selling PC Game“. He currently has over 80,000 votes, but he isn’t quite in the lead. Today will be the last day is the last chance you will get to place your votes, so make sure you act swiftly! If you’re a Minecraft fan or a fan of Notch make sure you place your vote!
