Novatech Reign Paladin MKII Gaming PC Review

Price
With a specification as impressive as this one, you’ve probably already guessed that this system doesn’t come cheap. With a price tag of £3,199.99 that may, at a glance, seem somewhat excessive. You do, however, have to think of those components within this build and put them into perspective.
A quick check at PCPartsPicker gives a ‘bricks and mortar’ build price for this system of £2996.21. This is if you were to attempt to build it yourself with all the individual parts (and all the headaches that come with it). So, when you consider that Novatech is willing to put this all together (to a really high standard), give you a 3-year warranty, tech support, and that Reign branding to the tempered glass, their ‘mark up’ isn’t only reasonable, it’s very good indeed!
Performance
The Novatech Reigns Paladin MKII is, categorically, hands down, the single most impressive system we have ever seen in our benchmarking. As you saw throughout our tests, it was consistently top of the charts (with only a handful of exceptions) and usually top by a comfortably huge margin.
It is rare that you will see a PC designer put so many high-end products into a system such as this. What Novatech has done here is essentially produce and retail a system that, in technology terms, is on the cutting edge of desktop performance.
Design & Aesthetics
Aesthetically, Novatech has clearly gone for a sleek and stylish approach here. While there are RGB lighting effects, they’re both nice and understated. This can similarly be said of the NZXT chassis which has some of the best functionality available.
There is a part of me that wonders whether Novatech could’ve afforded to give this system a little more razzmatazz. Is it a little too sleek and professional to really catch the eye of the consumer? Perhaps. I guess it’s all a matter of opinion.
What can not be denied, however, is that in terms of thought, planning and design, Novatech has hit this one out of the park!
Should I Buy One?
Let’s be honest here, for £3,200, this is an expensive system that will only be affordable to a select number of people. When you consider the technology inside this build, however, as well as the care and attention that Novatech put into the design, we can categorically say that we have not seen a pre-built PC system better than this!
The level of technology in this system is so good, that you could easily consider this as being ‘future proof’ for the next 5-8 years, and probably more.
The Novatech Reigns Paladin MKII almost feels like a concept rather than a system. Almost like Novatech said ‘what’s the absolutely best PC system we can build that people would want?’. In addition, it’s clearly been put together by people who know and understand what’s important to real pc enthusiasts.
Put simply, if you’re after extreme levels of performance, the Novatech Reigns Paladin MKII makes you feel like the world of tomorrow has arrived today!
Pros

- Amazing combination of highly-power components
- One of the most powerful retail systems currently available
- A PC that anyone would want to own
- 3-year warranty and customer support staff on hand!
Cons
- None.
Neutral
- For such an impressive system (in terms of specification), some may consider it a little too understated
- It costs a lot, but the price is primarily driven by component prices. As is often the case though, you get what you pay for!
