Nvidia 511.23 Driver Update – Game Ready for God of War & Rainbow Six
Mike Sanders / 3 years ago
Nvidia graphics card owners, you’ve had a pretty good run of it for a while with the most recent driver released way back before Christmas. Yes, it sounds crazy, but we’ve nearly had a month without having to make an update! – A new year, however, always brings with it new gaming titles, and if you want to get game-ready support for God of War and Rainbow Six Extraction, then the release of Nvidia’s latest 511.23 drivers certainly seems to have you covered!
Nvidia GeForce Game Ready 511.23 WHQL
For those of you who have been paying attention to the recent news, this new update isn’t to be confused with the 511.17 drivers that were released earlier this week. That was strictly for day-one support of their newly revised GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. – With this latest driver update being more generic, however, what do we get from it? Well, the official update notes cite the following changes, optimisations, fixes, and game ready support offered:
Game Ready for God of War
This new Game Ready Driver provides the best day-0 gaming experience for God of War, which utilizes NVIDIA DLSS to maximize performance and NVIDIA Reflex to minimize latency. In addition, this new Game Ready Driver offers support for the latest new titles and updates including Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Hitman III, The Anacrusis, GRIT, and Monster Hunter Rise.
Gaming Technology
Includes support for NVIDIA DLDSR (Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution).
New Features and Other Changes
- Added support for Windows11 Dynamic Refresh Rate.
- Added support for CUDA 11.6.
- The NVIDIA OpenCL driver has added support for new provisional extension specifications released by Khronos.
- Added new OpenCL compiler technology as an opt-in feature.
What’s New in Release 510
- Added support for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (12GB) GPU
Where Can I Get This Update?
Presuming you haven’t already checked (or have been prompted to do so), if you have the Nvidia GeForce Experience app installed on your PC (which I sincerely hope you do!), a quick driver update search on it should ask you (all going well) to download and install this latest 511.23 version. – Failing this happening, however, you can manually download them (as well as learn more information) via the link here!
