We’ve been bringing you a lot of rumour and speculation about the Geforece GTX 780 recently, but it’s finally good to get some cold hard facts, as well as some 100% genuine photos of the real deal and that’s exactly what we have today.
The GeForce eSports festival is currently taking place in China and it was the perfect battle ground for Nvidia to raise the curtain on the latest entry to their flagship 7xx GPU range.
With a release date of May 23rd the card is almost upon us and Scott Herkelman, the Geforce General Manager was on hand at the show to give us all an official first look.
Of course there are many more cards from the 7xx range still to come and we can expect to see the GTX 770 follow it up just a week later on the 30th of May.
Featuring the GK110 core with a few cut backs the GTX 780 is essentially the GTX Titan on a least, but that’s still enough to put it around 20% more powerful than the current GTX 680 and that’s no bad thing in terms of performance. With 12 stream processors, 2304 cores, 3GB of GDDR5 memory, a 320 / 384 bit memory bus and the same cooler design as the GTX Titan, this is certainly shaping up to be a great card.
Expect prices in the region of 500-600 Euros and non reference card designs to follow a few weeks after the official release.
