Following the initial launch of Nvidia’s new 40XX graphics cards, one of the biggest focal points of the presentation was the debut of their new DLSS 3 technology. – And, in this regard, it’s hard to downplay just how impressive it looked and particularly so when compared to the prior iteration of it. – I mean, for arguably the first time ever, a silky smooth 4K gaming experience was now possible without the need of taking your hardware to extreme performance limits.
With that being said though, it’s hard to deny that DLSS 3 has so far gotten off to a bit of a slow start. Not, incidentally, that this has been much of a problem since the only GPU which currently supports it is the monstrously expensive 4090 (with the 4080 not set to arrive until November 16th).
Following an official blog post, however, Nvidia has confirmed that before the end of this month new DLSS 3 support will be officially added to another three gaming titles!
Now, just to be clear, at the time of writing two games do currently offer support for DLSS 3. F1 22 (which was available on release day) as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator (albeit, currently only in a beta release). – Before the end of this month, however, Nvidia has confirmed that further DLSS 3 support will be officially added to the following titles:
And in addition to this, Nvidia has also confirmed the following new DLSS 2 support:
The fact that DLSS 3 is only somewhat creeping out the door isn’t really a huge problem because, as noted above, it’s not as if consumers have many 40XX GPUs to choose from right now (let alone, ones that could even mildly be classed as affordable).
Still, though, DLSS 3 is undoubtedly looking to be an exceptionally impressive technology and if you’d like to learn more about it, you can check out Nvidia’s official blog post via the link here!
