NVIDIA has confirmed that the RTX 4060 will be available to order from June 29th bringing in the cheapest RTX 40 series option to the market.
Soon the RTX 4060 will be ready to buy as the cheapest 4060 card starting from an MSRP of $299 but likely still not cheap enough for gamers to consider. In terms of specs, the RTX 4060 uses the AD107-400 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores and a boost clock of 2.4GHz. This GPU is paired up with 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus at a 17Gbps clock speed giving 272 GB/s of memory bandwidth. The card as expected also uses low power at a 115W TDP meaning it won’t be turning your room into a fire pit, unless it has some defect that causes it to ignite.
These dates were originally unofficially revealed per the leaked embargo information from MEGAsizeGPU on Twitter alongside various other important dates. Like previous releases we will be seeing the reviews split between MSRP and non MSRP with the MSRP reviews arriving on the 28th a day before and the non-MSRP reviews arriving on release day the 29th. The leaked information does include a section for the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB but it does not contain any relevant information other than stating that it will be on shelves in July.
