NVIDIA Debuts Recommended Router List for GeForce NOW

For the Optimal Cloud Gaming Experience

NVIDIA‘s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service has been around for several years now. The service offers hundreds of games for a monthly subscription fee. So users do not need to buy each game individually, and moreover, they do not need high-end hardware. The graphics crunching rests entirely on NVIDIA servers and users stream it over the internet.

There are still of course, hardware limitations on the client side such as routers which can affect streaming quality. That is why NVIDIA is launching a recommended router list so that users can the optimal experience. These latest generation routers allows users to configure settings to prioritize GeForce NOW before all other data.

Which Routers are Included in the GeForce NOW List?

So far, only a single router is actually on the list and it is the Amplify Gamer’s Edition router. It costs $379 USD and is available in US and Canada.

However, NVIDIA says that they are working closely with other companies to build GeForce NOW recommended routers. This includes familiar names like ASUS, D-LINK, Netgear, Razer, TP-Link, and Ubiquiti Networks.

You might also have a router compatible with GeForce NOW already. NVIDIA intends to release firmware updates for these existing solutions and should be available early Q1 2019.
