NVIDIA has reportedly announced a delay in the shipment of its GeForce RTX 4070 Super GPUs, postponing orders until the end of September. This delay affects all AIB partners, who now face a supply shortage for a few weeks. NVIDIA initially released the RTX 4070 Super earlier this year, and it has gained popularity among gamers for its strong price-to-performance ratio.
Supply Chain Disruptions Hit the RTX 4070 Super
According to Board Channels (thanks WCCftech), NVIDIA has paused shipments of the AD104 chips that power the RTX 4070 Super. A source confirmed that orders would not resume until the last week of September. This delay could lead to limited stock for retailers, potentially causing short-term price hikes. NVIDIA has not disclosed the reason behind this delay.
The RTX 4070 Super is currently one of the top-selling graphics cards on Amazon, thanks to its competitive price of $599. However, with the shipping delay, AIB partners may need to stretch their current inventory to meet consumer demand.
The GPU, which offers a 20% improvement over the standard RTX 4070, remains in high demand, particularly in regions like South Korea, where it has been selling rapidly in the DIY market.
