Gears of War 4 has been a long time coming, so you can be certainly that the team at Epic Games are eager to show it off in all of its glory; or should that be gory. Teaming up with Nvidia, the game has been dialed up to Ultra on a GTX 1080 graphics card and quite simply, it looks stunning!
The only thing that is a bit of a disappointment is that the video is only in 1080@60, so while it does look impressive and, put bluntly, craps all over the console version, it would have been nice to see it released in 4K. Check out the video below and judge for yourself.
The game makes excellent use of DX12 and to bring us stunning graphics and performance, so it’s no wonder that Nvidia is giving away the game for free to anyone who buys a Laptop, PC, or graphics card with a 10-series GPU; just keep an eye out for a participating retailer.
