Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU Image Appears Online (Old Design, New Font?)

Based on the best information we have to date, Nvidia is expected to kick off its 40XX series of graphics cards with the launch (and subsequent release) of its GeForce RTX 4090 this November. While the 4080 is the next GPU expected to be released, however, in terms of leaked images appearing online, we’d have certainly expected to see the former before the latter.

Following a report via Videocardz, however, a reliable leak source has posted an image online of what they are claiming is the Founders Edition Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080

Admittedly, the knee-jerk reaction is undoubtedly to write this off as a somewhat elaborate hoax. Aesthetically speaking, although it is a somewhat limited angle not giving us a full view, it does appear to be pretty much identical to the current-gen 3080. – It has, however, been spotted that the font used for the ‘RTX 4080’ is different. Namely, it is a little slimmer than what was seen on either the 230XX or 30XX series. And more so, it does seem to conform to what Nvidia has on their own (still somewhat scant) 40XX website/s which, to date, has largely gone unnoticed.

Overall though, if this is our first look at the 4080 graphics card, a conclusion can be drawn very quickly. Same cooler design, new font. Yep, that seems to wrap it up quite well based on what we can see here.

What do you think though? Do you this is the actual final design for the 4080? If so, what happened to that triple-fan configuration that has been long rumoured for the high-end Nvidia 40XX models?- Let us know in the comments!
