With the imminent release of NVIDIA’s revamped mid-range graphics card, the GTX 560, lots of rumours and speculations have been flying around about the likely specs etc. Some early benchmarks have been released over the last few days and a few stats about a pair of factory overclocked 560’s. Finally however some photographs of the reference design has been released.
Based on what we have gleaned from various sources, the GF114 will have a core clock of around 823 MHz meaning the Cuda cores will run at 1,646 MHz. The 1GB frame bugger will run at a nice 4 GHz and will be connected to the GPU by a 256-bit bus. Due to the benchmark performances we are expecting this card to retail at just over £200 for the reference model as it slots nicely in between the GTX 470 and AMD’s Radeon HD 6950. However it is the hundreds of factory overclocked models with their custom coolers that will be of more interest to most gamers.
