Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB Graphics Card Review

Heaven Benchmark with its current version 4.0 is a GPU-intensive benchmark that hammers graphics cards to the limits. This powerful tool can be effectively used to determine the stability of a GPU under extremely stressful conditions, as well as check the cooling system’s potential under maximum heat output. It provides completely unbiased results and generates true in-game rendering workloads across all platforms, such as Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Heaven 4,0 like 3DMark 2013 is a new benchmark that I’ve been quietly collecting results for over the last few weeks and this is also a fitting time to start using it in my reviews.

Unlike Heaven 3.0, 4.0 shows a very close set of results between the two top cards from NVIDIA with no more than 5fps separating the cards at each resolution. Over a GTX 680 SOC there are more significant gains to be seen with any thing up to a 34fps gain recorded at 1680x 1050.

  1. I read as far as page 3 and gave up… surely the NDA didn’t restrict you from giving this report to your editor to rid it of the SMS style ‘replace-one-word-with-another’ errors as well as the more traditional typo’s.

  2. Unfortunately our test sample has to be returned after tests & benchmarks. Maybe I’ll end up grovelling for a 770, depending on the manufacturer & supplier.
